I don't often do memes... and I really should, because otherwise I might not update every week! So here's a meme I ganked from =heatherkat that struck my fancy, and might give insight into how I think about my artwork... for you and for me!
Updates on everything after the meme!
1. What do you like about your style?
I'm not sure what my "style" constitutes right now, line-wise. Certainly there are elements I've developed consistency with (ears!), but I'm usually experimenting with whatever I'm drawing at the time, and as a result I don't end up with a consistent style. I have... several styles that I've been developing, and I like them all for different reasons.
2. Which is the most popular deviation in your gallery? Why do you think people like it so much? What do YOU like about it?

Her deviation with the most comments is OMG, yer liek, EMO -heart- with 1,069 comments, and it is also her most favourited, with 1,834 favourites. Her most viewed deviation is OMG, yer liek, EMO -heart- with 82,908 views.
Yeeahhh. Well... I think people like this one because they either identify with it in some way (by having seen something similar, or having BEEN something similar), or because they see it as satire (which can make sense), or because it made them laugh. Which is incredible, really, because I spent about three hours on it on a whim in 2005, and it snuck up on me in popularity. It just keeps getting views, and favourites, and comments, every day, and that means a lot to me in the way of being something so many can identify with. I just like my characters. Steven was born in that picture, and while the real Steven turned out to be very different, MY Steven became something so much more creative and lasting. (I still wish I got as much attention in the rest of my work, tho! Wouldn't THAT be nice!)
3. Pick one of your least popular deviations. What are the things you like about it, despite the lack of popularity?

Meh... I just have always liked this one. It's a weird style, and the colouring method combined with it to make something really cool. It's an emotional piece, but it's also just a piece I really liked when it was finished. And ever since.
4. Which is your favorite picture, concept- or idea-wise? Would you ever revisit this idea and try to make a new picture based on it again?
Well, I kindof did that already with Bananaphone and Revisited. But I suppose the one I would revisiting would be to do a series based on this one:

5. Do you have a favorite quickie? What do you like about it?

Haha, I just love the face on this one. Reminds me of Kate Bosworth. I've been doing more of these lately (posting soon).
6. Do you have a favorite piece that involved tons of time and effort?

DEFINITELY.
7. Lastly, pick your top favorite image in your gallery. (If you picked this picture in any of the previous answers, please pick the next favorite or something.) Why do you like it so much?

Well, #6 was my top fave, but this is my favourite of my latest stuff. I spent a little bit of extra time on it, but I was really happy with how the effort to product ratio worked out... I.E. not easy, but not terribly difficult either.
And now (updates!)
See ya soon!

(comment and answer!)- Would you rather: be trapped for an hour in airport security OR be trapped in a two-hour lecture on South African shrubs?
